The first full week of school flew by, as expected. It seems like the further you get in school, the faster it goes by. Anyway, the first week was spent getting everything organized for each of my classes and all of that stuff. This class, TSTM 544, picks up right where its predecessor, TSTM 444, left off. The grading system and the way this class is operated is almost the same as how 444 was.

Looks like we will be doing another training session in this class, which is something I am looking forward to. It was a good experience for us to be able to conduct a training session at the Heritage at Lowman Home last year. I am looking forward to doing another session in this class on a different topic.

As far as homework goes, we had our first set of assignments due yesterday (8/30) or today. One of the assignments was a discussion on the need for needs assessment in the workplace. We were posed with a question by an interviewer of whether or not the company should do away with needs assessment. I was highly opposed to this because I feel that needs assessment is a great way to address needs between current conditions and desired conditions. I argued that it is designed to help your company operate smoothly which will ultimately save you time in the end.

Our first quiz was due yesterday as well. It went over topics that were covered on the syllabus.
